Ginny

Ginny (registered name Excyting, Cytosk⁺⁺⁺ x My Desire) is just under 14.2 hands, making her a top of the line large pony mare. She is a bright bay with a star and a short sock. She was bred by Tom Hartung, a well-known local breeder of Arabians.
Ginny has some experience in the large pony hunters and in medal classes but it is the jumper ring where she really shines. She seems to delight in the tight turns and always draws a crowd at the back gate of people who want to watch the pony go against the warmbloods. She was reserve champion jumper at her very first jumper show and is always very competitive, even against much larger horses.
Arabians have a reputation for being flighty and spooky but Ginny is neither… unless it’s windy. When it’s windy Ginny sees dead people so she generally gets stormy days off. Ginny skillfully stays underneath her riders who are still learning their balance at the canter and over fences and as they progress she is a wonderful introduction 
to jumper basics, handling like a little sportscar. When you’re putting Ginny away, don’t forget her blanket! She must long for the desert because she always runs cold. She’ll help you out by putting her own head through the front opening.
Ginny is available for students who have made a commitment to at least twice a week lessons and going to shows.
