Rocky
Rocky is a dark bay pony gelding who is just under 13.2 hands so he just squeaks in as a medium. He is grade which means he has no papers, but my friends in the UK say he is a dead ringer for a New Forest Pony. Either that, or what they call a “Purebred Monster Pony”. Round and hairy? Check. Brownish color, rather small? Check. Jumps cute? Check.
Rocky’s favorite things are eating and hanging out with the boys. His least favorite things are hoses, wheelbarrows, and pitchforks. Good thing those are things you never see around the barn. No, wait… anyway he’s working on that. If Rocky believed in reincarnation, he would want to come back as a warmblood because they get so much more food than he gets and that is so not fair! Rocky’s best pony trick is lifting his own feet for you when you are cleaning out his hooves, even before you ask him to.
Rocky jumps courses and has experience going to local and rated horse shows in both hunters and jumpers. He can be ridden in lessons by absolutely anyone — leadline, lungeline, walk/trot beginners, kids jumping through about 2′6″ and even the occasional small adult rider — but he loves children best of all.
