Stanley
Every barn needs a Stanley! Been there? Yep. Done that? Yes, all of it — and now he is ready to teach it to you. Handsome Stanley is a 16.3 hand bay Holsteiner gelding (look closely and you can still see his brand) which makes him the biggest lesson horse here at Myrewyn. He refuses to believe in aging and delights in showing off his extensive training on the flat and over fences. I think he has the dreamiest canter in the whole barn. Stanley especially likes to roll so if the arena is free after your lesson, be sure to take off his tack and let him loose for a little bit of horse self-chiropractic!
Stanley knows his lateral work, gets flying changes, and jumps anything. Because of his size he is available for teenagers and adults of any level or older children who have enough experience to handle a big, strong horse. Stanley is also available to take to shows (where he is called Denali) to compete over fences up to three feet.
Stanley belongs to Kim so if you are lucky enough to ride Stanley in your lessons please make sure you thank Kim when you see her!
